Fidget & Little Man and I were contacted by KidloLand and asked if we would like to try out and review their app for kids 0-5. We took a look and liked what we saw, to the point that we’re very, very glad they contacted us: the app is fantastic. Fidget & Little Man absolutely adore it. So here is our KidloLand App review.

Now as parents of a four-year-old Fidget and a 22 month-old Little Man, we are quite cautious about what we allow them to watch online and where their online viewing can lead them. But with the KidloLand App this isn’t a problem. KidloLand’s strap line is ‘The perfect app for toddlers and preschoolers’ and with that they might just have hit the nail firmly on the head. There are no annoying adverts to lead your toddlers away from the app and there’s plenty for them to concentrate on or just listen to, depending on their mood.

Having been given a one-year subscription for the full package – thank you, KidloLand – we have downloaded everything (it’s quite an extensive package) to our Kindle Fire. The year’s subscription works out at £29.99, but the package itself is well worth the money. Although, I would suggest that you download the trial package first to make sure your kids will use the app enough to warrant the subscription. But once downloaded, the kids will have a ball.

KidloLand App ReviewI truly wish we had the KidloLand app on the Kindle before we went on holiday, because once downloaded they have the KidloLand world at their little fingertips wherever you go; be it in the car, on a plane, by the pool or just snuggled up on the sofa on a rainy day. The app is bright, cheerful and educational. We really can’t complain about that.

KidloLand App Review

At 22 months, Little Man is a total sucker for nursery rhymes and loves the KidloLand app because of the abundance of nursery rhymes available. Now Little Man has his favourites: Old MacDonald had a Farm (I didn’t know that Old MacDonald was such an entrepreneur, because aside from his farm, in KidloLand he also has a jungle, a circus, a bird park, a zoo and an aquarium!), Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Hickory Dickory Dock, Wheels on The Bus, Baa Baa Black Sheep, If You are Happy and You Know It to name but a few. But with KidloLand there is a glut of nursery rhymes to choose from; some of which we’d forgotten about and some we’d never heard of! So we are all learning them together. The app is full of bright colours and interactive sections that the kids can tap on the animate the characters. It truly is great fun.

Fidget is four and moved up from nursery to reception in September. She is quite a bright child and quite technology savvy already. She enjoys quite a lot of online play, which we monitor closely. We also work online with her doing maths and phonics. But she has really brought into the KidloLand App. If she is looking on her own she likes to play in the games section feeding the Chomping Monsters, having Chimp Adventures, solving puzzles in Magical Numbers or just hanging out with The Busy Bee, it’s all good fun to Fidget. We have also caught her being teacher and teaching Little Man the nursery rhymes and showing him how to play the games.

With over 1000 nursery rhymes, songs, stories, games and activities, there’s so much for Fidget & Little Man to do that they are still in KidloLand discovery mode. Fidget will come running, Kindle Fire in hand, and tell us about what she has found and how it works. She truly loves how interactive the different sections are. The app is genuinely fun and easy to navigate and well worth the subscription.
